I have lived in Kyoto, Japan, since 1981. I studied Kinko-ryu shakuhachi under and received my shi-han (teaching license) from Kurahashi Yodo II (formerly Kurahashi Yoshio), director of the Muju-an Shakuhachi Dojo.
